Daijiworld Media Network - Tumakuru (SP)

Tumakuru, Oct 6: "The Congress and the BJP have entered into internal understanding for the bypoll. But we have no deal with anyone," said former chief minister H D Kumaraswamy.

He was addressing a meeting of JD(S) workers held at Dodda Aladamara village in Sira taluk on Monday, October 5. "Siddaramaiah has commented that the JD(S) is not a political party. Our party is like mother for him. He should not forget that because of our party, he could hog the limelight," he said.

Hitting back at Siddaramaiah for having accused the JD(S) of having entered into an agreement with he BJP, he said that in fact, Siddaramaiah is the one who has forged an understanding with the BJP. "Dr Rajesh Gowda, who recently joined the BJP, and Siddaramaiah's son, Yatindra, are business partners. Moreover, Rajesh Gowda's father, Moodalagiriyappa, has been elected as MP from the Congress," he pointed out.

He noted that Siddarmaiah has branded the BJP government as 10 percent government. He reminded that Narendra Modi had passed the same allegation about Siddaramaiah when the latter was the chief minister. He accused Siddaramaiah of deserting people who trusted him for his own benefit.

Kumaraswamy hinted at allotting ticket to deceased Sira MLA, Satyanarayana's wife, by saying that the JD(S) had issued tickets to the wives of deceased legislator in the past and that the party will follow its tradition. He said that the candidate will be announced in a couple of days.
