Bangalore : Archbishop Greets Governor on Birthday, Receives Reassurance

Bangalore, May 18: Archbishop Dr. Bernard Moras, President of the Karnataka United Christians Federation for Human Rights, called on His excellency the Governor of Karnataka, Dr. Hans Raj Bhardwaj  to greet him on his birthday, May 17.  The prelate, in his twenty-six minute meeting in the evening with the Governor received reassurances from the Governor that the secularism will be upheld at any cost in the State.

Appreciating the work of minority institutions and the work of Missionaries in the country, he told the Archbishop  "I have a very strong bonding and association  with the minorities for many years and am aware of the contribution they have made to the progress of the nation". "It is my desire that people of all religions and communties live in peace and harmony with each other, anyone trying to disturb or block such efforts for harmony must be pulled up" the Governor said.  The Archbishop expressing his gratitude to the Governor in the name of the Christians in Karnataka, said "We are happy that the cases of violence against the Christian community has come down".
