Valpoi, Oct 6: Staff of the Kadamba Transport Corporation (KTC) on Monday approached Valpoi police seeking action against a man who allegedly attempted to attack a bus driver and conductor with a sickle at Rive-Golawali last Thursday night.

The staff also sought security for employees operating on the route and warned of suspending bus services to the village until action is taken.

The incident occurred after the crew completed their final trip and stopped the bus near a temple. The driver and conductor reportedly confronted two youths suspected of attempting to steal their belongings.

During the argument, one of the youths allegedly picked up a sickle and advanced towards the driver and conductor. The crew immediately moved the bus forward and locked the doors, while local residents intervened.

Following the incident, bus services on the route were affected, causing inconvenience to students, workers and other passengers.

Valpoi police are continuing their investigation into the incident.
