Mangalore, May 19: An unidentified man committed suicide in the local beach in the afternoon of Monday May 17 by torching himself after dousing his body with kerosene or diesel.
The man, aged between 30 and 40 years, who arrived at the seashore at around 1 pm, poured on himself the inflammable liquid he had brought in a can, and then ignited a fire. He suffered severe burn injuries and breathed his last on the spot. Panambur policemen have registered a case.
The complexion of the deceased was black, with a height of 5’4”. The policemen have, through a release, requested members of the public to convey information if any about the man dialling 0824 – 2220530.
