Mangalore : 6 Hurt in Group Clash Near Surathkal


Surathkal, May 22 (DHNS): As many as six persons suffered injuries when two groups clashed near MGM Jumma Masjid at Chokkabettu near Surathkal on Friday.  
 
It is alleged that Yusuf (35), Imran (21) and Sadik (31), who are the supporters of present committee, were assaulted by four persons belonging to previous committee.

They were allegedly beaten up using iron rods by Hamza, Ibrahim, Sharif and Akbar Sharif. 
Akbar Sharif (45), Abdul Rahman (45) and Abdul Khader (60) too were injured in the clash.
They alleged that Zaibavu Hasanabba, Sharif and 45 others assaulted them.

A tiff regarding management committee led to the clash. Suratkal police have registered seperate cases.
