Kundapur: Stung by many giant honey bees, man loses life

Kundapur, Dec 17: A person who had left home for a stroll in the evening came under the attack of several honey bees from a nearby colony inside the thicket near his farm. He suffered serious injuries, and died.

The victim of this unfortunate incident was Jagannath Shetty (88), a resident of Kanyana Koodlu here. He came under the honey bee attack on the evening of December 14. His son-in-law, Prabhakar Shetty, immediately admitted Jagannath Shetty into a hospital at Kundapur. Later, he was admitted into a private hospital at Mangaluru for treatment.

Without responding to efforts made to save his life, Shetty breathed his last on Wednesday December 16. A report about this incident was filed in Kundapur police station.
