NZ reports 10 new Covid-19 cases in managed isolation


Wellington, Dec 18 (IANS): New Zealand on Friday reported 10 new coronavirus cases in managed isolation, health authorities said, adding that there were no fresh community infections.

Two previously reported cases have recovered, Xinhua news agency quoted the Health Ministry as saying.

The total number of active cases in New Zealand is 51, according to the Ministry.

The new cases in managed isolation are from the Netherlands, Italy, the US, India, Germany and the UK.

They have been transferred to the quarantine facility, the Ministry added.

As of Friday, New Zealand's overall coronavirus caseload and death toll stood at 2,110 and 25 deaths, respectively.
