Police couple commits suicide in Bengaluru

Bengaluru, Dec 18: Sheela and Suresh employed in the Bengaluru police department and married for ten years committed suicide by hanging on the morning of Friday December 18. Sheela was a police constable and Suresh a head constable.

While Sheela hailed from Chikkamagaluru, Suresh was a resident of Kolar. Sheela was employed in the police control room while Suresh was a writer in the ACP office. The couple resided in Kottanoor police station limits.

Suresh who had remained till late last night as there was a meeting with staff of Sampigehalli sub-division had spoken to his colleague cheerfully after the meeting. However, the couple’s suicide came to light the next morning.



The reason for the drastic step is yet to be known. Both wrote a death note before their death but the contents are not made public.

A police case about the couple’s death is registered at Kottanoor police station. It is possible that they ended their lives due to a family dispute.
