Moodbidri: Illegal Bangladeshi immigrant gets two years sentence

Moodbidri, Dec 19: An illegal immigrant, who was found to be a Bangladesh citizen, was handed down two years jail term by the JMFC court here. He has been accused of entering India without possessing proper documents.

The person held guilty of the offence is Dulal Bairagi. He was found at Iruvail in the taluk. He had been arrested last year by the police here, and produced in court. During the hearing, it was established that he happens to be an illegal immigrant.

In this case, the assistant public prosecutor, Shobha S, represented the prosecution. Assistant station house officer, Vinayak Bavikatte, investigated the case and filed a charge sheet in the court.
