Mangaluru, Dec 19: The bishop of the diocese, Fr Dr Peter Paul Saldanha on December 18 during the 5 pm mass administered the sacrament of confirmation to 43 children at St Vincent Ferrer Church, Valencia.
The bishop celebrated the holy Eucharistic celebration.
Parish priest, Fr Roque D’Sa, assistant parish priest, Fr Lancy D’Souza, resident priest, Fr Joswin D’Souza and Fr William Barracas were the concelebrants.
On the occasion, the confirmants offered various items for the deserving. Confirmation certificates were distributed among the children and a copy of the New Testament by the bishop as a token gift on the occasion.
