Kundapur, Dec 19: In a tragic incident, a speeding bus knocked down a young man at Thekkatte killing him on the spot. The accident happened at about 11 pm on December 18.

Kome resident, Pramod Mogaveera (25), the victim, was returning home after factory work and crossing the road near Thekkatte rice mill when the bus plying from Mangaluru to Goa at high speed hit the youth. The impact was so strong that the body of the youth was shredded into pieces.

A case in this connection is registered at Kota police station.
