Bengaluru: Dismayed at marriage proposal rejection, couple jumps into well

Bengaluru, Dec 21: After their families stayed firm on not permitting them to get married to one another, a couple ended their lives by jumping into a well. This incident happened at Dhumanasura Shivara in Humnabad taluk in the district on Sunday December 20.

Srikanth and Nikhitha of Varavatti village committed suicide. Police sources said that Srikanth was involved with several criminal cases and named as an accused and he was a rowdy sheeter in the records of Humnabad police station.
