Bengaluru: Notice from chairman - Legislative Council secretary clarifies

Bengaluru, Dec 23: In connection with the commotion which erupted in the Legislative Council session on December 15, council secretary, Mahalaxmi, has furnished written clarification to the council chairman, K Pratapchandra Shetty.

It may be recalled that Shetty had served show cause notice to the council secretary in connection with the said unsavoury incident. The secretary had sought time till December 22 to clarify her position.

It is said that Mahalaxmi provided a three-page reply. She is known to have insisted that there was no lapse on her part relating to the incident.

The council chairman had suspected about the involvement of the council officials in the incident in which the deputy chairman of the council, Dharme Gowda, was seen to have occupied the chair of the chairman when the bell was on. He had suspected conspiracy with the involvement of council secretary.
