Bengaluru: Missing priest found murdered, buried for seeking loan repayment

Bengaluru, Dec 23: Neelakanta Deekshit (57), priest of Kashi Vishwanath temple at Kadugodi here had mysteriously gone missing three months back. Now, the police who investigated the case have found that the priest was murdered and his body was buried.

Relating to the murder case, two persons Manjunath and Gopi, have been taken into custody. The police have converted the missing case into murder, said additional zonal police commissioner, Murugan.

It is said that Neelakanta, priest of the temple, was operating the business of money lending through another person, Anjaneya Reddy. The police said that those who raised loans had murdered the priest as he insisted on repayment of money lent by him.
