Mangaluru: ICYM youth builds massive 20 ft Christmas star for festive season

Media Release

Mangaluru, Dec 25: Christmas is a season where we see a lot of decorations all over. People celebrate this season with lots of joy and hope. The Crib, Christmas tree, kuswar, star and so on are the main attractions of this season.

The ICYM youth of Mangalore diocese has set a massive 20 ft star at the ICYM Central Council Office, Olivet House, Jeppu, Mangaluru under the initiative of the ICYM diocesan president Leon Loyd Saldanha and with the help of the Central Council members, ICYM Bendur unit members along with the guidance of the ICYM director Fr Ashwin Cardoza and Rayan Vas.

This massive star is set up on the road towards Jeppu-Nandigudda. It has been built by our very own youth of Mangaluru.

The star of Christmas invited the wise men to travel to Jerusalem from the East. Let this star inspire us to always seek the Lord, that he may show the best path to all young people towards a better future.

The Central Council wishes a very happy Christmas to all the young people of the diocese of Mangaluru.
