Mangaluru: Protest on New Year ’s Day urging construction of Abbakka Bhavan

Mangaluru, Dec 26: Veerarani Abbakka festival committee has called an emergency meeting and decided to hold silent protests in Thokkottu on January 1, 2021 urging to construct Abbakka Bhavan in the spot reserved for the purpose.

Forty-one cents of land near Thokkottu new bus stand was reserved to construct Abbakka Bhavan nine years ago by the efforts of Abbakka festival committee.

The festival committee has requested those with regards towards Abbakka to participate in the protests.

The committee has planned the protests urging to begin construction immediately fearing that it may be used for some other purpose otherwise.
