Udupi: Congress party celebrates victory in gram panchayat elections

Udupi, Jan 7: Congress party took out a rally at Kadekar gram panchayat limits to celebrate its victory in the recent gram panchayat elections. The rally progressed via Kannarpady, Kattegudde, Kutpady, Kadekar and ended at Seabridge where a victory meeting was held.

Former minister Pramod Madhwaraj said that Kadekar panchayat voters have elected party supported candidates with majority votes. “The elected members have the responsibility to develop Kadekar panchayat as a model panchayat,” he said.

District panchayat member, Diwaker Kunder speaking earlier advised that the elected members should provide a corruption free administration in Kadekar gram panchayat and maintain people’s trust.

Block president Sathish Ameen Padukere, Brahmavar block president Dinaker Poojary Heroor, block publicity committee president Krishnamoorthy Acharya, Vanaja Jayaker, Taranath Suvarna, Sathish Kotian, Navin Shetty, observer Sukesh Kunder, Chandramohan, Akash, S C unit block president Ganesh Nergi, municipal council member Ramesh Kanchan, block chief secretary Janardhan Bhandarkar, elected panchayat members and others were present. Jathin Kadekar compered the programme.
