Tumakuru, Jan 13: In a strange incident which happened at D Koratagere in Gulur revenue division in the district on the evening of Monday January 11, a husband, when showing to his wife the way a gun is operated, accidentally caused her death.
At about 7.30 pm on Monday, Krishnaiah from the said village, who was drunk, told his wife, Sharada, that he would show her how to operate the country gun he possessed. He directed the barrel of the gun to the head and was showing how to fire a shot when the bullet went off and killed Sharada (30) instantly .
Sharada is survived by two children aged 6 and 10. The accused was arrested and remanded to judicial custody.
