Kundapur, Jan 13: After long waiting the state cabinet got expanded on Wednesday January 13. However, a small glimmer of hope of Udupi district getting representation has become a myth.

The big expectation of taluk MLA Halady Srinivas Shetty becoming minister if BJP attains power in Karnataka did not realize when the cabinet was formed after the party assumed power by toppling the coalition government of Congress and JD (S). Even then, well-wishers of Halady Srinivas Shetty thought that he might be considered for minister position at least in the coming days. But that expectation is also thrown to the wind by CM Yediyurappa.

Halady Srinivas Shetty had resigned from BJP earlier owing to insult by the party. Later eminent leaders of the party had visited his house and had convinced him to join the party again to which Shetty obliged. So there was a feeling that the MLA will be given the minister position. However, it seems the state BJP leaders are not bothered about Halady Srinivas Shetty even now.

Not only for him.. It is a disappointment to whole Kundapura.

He was called for swearing in, but somebody else was selected, including Yeadyurappa, Karandlaje many people came to persuaded him to join back to party after he quit over the insult. After listening their promise, he came to party back and cooperated them in all the way.

It is sure that some old stalwarts residing nearby had made a strong pitch against him. But... the fact what they also know - he can't be defeated. They only have the option of waiting for his disappearance.

We can just say bad luck to Halady Shrinivas Shetty. It is he not Nalin or Yedyurappa at Kundapura the people are well versed with.
