Kaup: Former minister's wife's property - fraudulent change of khata alleged

Kaup, Jan 15: It is said that fraudulent transactions were put through relating to land and house owned by Roopa alias Deepa K T, wife of former minister, Kagodu Thimmappa, on the basis of fake documents.

Deepa K T has built a residential house in a land she inherited from her mother at Kote village, Katapady near here. In a complaint filed in Kaup police station, Deepa stated that her sister, Kalavathi, had cheated her by creating fake documents and changing the khata of the property to her name. She also said that when questioned, her sister posed her death threats.

On the basis of the said complaint, the police have registered a case and undertaken probe.
