Bengaluru, Jan 15: Reportedly, a girl and her mother ended their lives due to the crazy love and blackmail by the girl's lover. The incidents took place within the limits of RMC Yard police station and the accused has been arrested.

The arrested lover has been identified as Bharath.

When the girl was studying in PUC, she had fallen in love with Bharath, employed in a private company. Mother of the girl, who came to know of this relationship, repeatedly counseled her daughter and pleaded her to end the relationship. As the girl refused to budge, the mother hanged herself on November 18, 2020.

Later, the father of the girl had advised Bharath not to continue his relationship with his daughter as she had to study. His daughter also changed her mind, concentrated on her studies, and distanced from Bharath. Bharath, who remained quiet for a few days, again contacted the girl and began to pester her to marry him. He also threatened her to share their intimate photos on the social media if she did not change her stance.

Feeling frustrated due to the blackmail, the girl had ended her life at her home on January 5.
