Bengaluru, Jan 15: Aditya Alva, accused of playing a major role in the drugs scandal that has enveloped Sandalwood, was subjected to doping test on Thursday January 14.

Central crime branch police inspector, Puneeth, led a team of police personnel which took Alva to K C General Hospital at Malleshwara here. Samples of his blood, hair, nail and urine were collected in the presence of senior medical officials for conducting the test.

At the same time, some suspect that the test conducted now may not be relevant as the accused was held four months after the scandal came into the open as the likelihood of the traces of drugs having tapered off are high. But there are also claims that even when in hiding, he continued to use drugs. Drug traces remain in bodies upto six months in certain cases, it is learnt.
