This place is notorious for its infrastructure shortfall over the years with a bulging population. The bus stand out there lacks basic amenities though it is an important junction on the Mangalore-Bangalore national highway. There is not even a signal or zebra crossing despite the road being frequented by very heavy traffic 24/7. Senior citizens really have a tough time navigating this place.

The less said the better about sewage disposal and drainage systems. If one just walks in one of the bylanes one would see how garbage being dumped into unused ponds and nullahs rotting and stinking.

Good that responsible people are making noise about this before the condition turns worse.
