Mangaluru, Jan 27: The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India celebrated 72nd Republic Day on Tuesday, January 26 at ICAI Bhawan, Padil. The day was celebrated with much pomp and fervour.
On this occasion, the chief guest Dr Dilip G Naik, pro-vice-chancellor, Manipal Academy of Higher Education (MAHE) hoisted the National Flag. SA Prabhakara Sharma, secretary, Indian Red Cross Society Dakshina Kannada district was present.
ICAI Mangaluru Branch also felicitated the senior members of the profession on this day who have contributed to the profession and helped the branch stand and grow stronger.

Dr Dilip G Naik stated that the doctors have taken care of the well being of the nation likewise CAs have taken care of the wealth of the nation. S A Prabhakara Sharma mentioned that serving a nation is nothing but serving the people around you, in that way CAs have contributed so much for the nation-building.
Blood donation camp in association with the Indian Red Cross society, wherein many volunteers came up to donate their blood with the motto 'Share a little Care a little'. And the event was enriched by the CA students exhibiting their talents in classical dance and patriotic songs.
