Bengaluru: Anand Singh yet to take charge of ministries

Bengaluru, Jan 28: Minister Anand Singh who is angered by frequent changes of his portfolios, has not taken charge of the portfolios allotted to him. He has been insisting on certain portfolios of his choice.

Singh was the forest minister. He was divested of this portfolio and was made a minister for tourism and environment. Then both were withdrawn and he was given infrastructure developent, Haj, and Wakf. Singh, it is said, is angry at the withdrawal of his tourism ministry. It is said that he has decided not to assume office till he is given the department he wants.

Singh tried to meet the chief minister on Tuesday night but failed to get a chance. On Wednesday, he arrived at his office in Vikasa Soudha but left within five minutes. He may stay away from the legislative session too, it is said. It is rumoured that he may resign from the post to register his anger.

In the meanwhile, some disgruntled legislators are considering holding separate meeting during the legislature session to discuss disparity in regional distribiution of power.
