Udupi, Jun 20: The district administration has fixed the date for the election of presidents and vice-presidents of 143 Gram Panchayats in the district.
The four-day election process will be held from Wednesday June 23 to Saturday June 26.
On May 27, the district administration had issued notification regarding the election of Gram Panchayat members. According to that, within 30 days the election for the post of presidents and vice-presidents had to be completed. Considering the same, the administration has decided the date for the elections.
