Udupi: Single–Stone Sculpted Pillar Installed at Dharmanadu Temple

The installation ceremony of the 38-feet single-stone sculptured pillar at Dharmanadu Temple, which is the prime worship center for the natives of Udyavar, Kedar and Korangrapady villages, was held on Sunday June 20. 

Dharmanadu Temple priest Kenja Sridar Tantri conducted the rituals on the occasion.


 
Temple trustee and Nagabrahma Patri Srinivas Ganiga ceremoniously installed the 38 ft single-stone pillar that was sculpted at a cost of about Rs 40 lac on the temple premises.
 
Meanwhile, a gift of silver from a generous donor to the temple deity was also installed on the occasion.
 
Sri Sugunendrateerta Swami of Puttige Mutt here offered the sculpted pillar to the people.
 
Sri Vidyavallabhateerta Swami of Kaniyoor Mutt held the religious discourse on the occasion.
 
Brahmakalashabisheka and other religious celebrations were also held.
 
Free food was offered to a large number of devotees who arrived from across Karnataka to witness the historical celebration at the temple on Sunday afternoon.
