It happened because of careless driving of some youth from Bela. My mother is seriously injured in this accident.
Fr. Basil Vas is very popular at Bela. He has done lot of good work for Christian and non Christians at Bela.
In Bela parish, most people are daily wage laborers and poor. So such a long motorcade is required to sendoff the parish priest? We need to think about this.
These kind of occasions are used by our youth as picnic opportunity and have fun at Mangalore bars while returning. This should be stopped and our church committee should take action against this.

It might have been an experience like in the foreign countries during the winter season. Is it the emotions/show off or the real respect paid to a priest? It is high time that one should practise humility in one's transfer. Save the fuel amount and help the poor. There should be some difference between priests and the politicians.
