Mangaluru: Merrill Rego elected state general secretary of Indian Youth Congress

Mangaluru, Feb 7: Merrill Rego was elected as the general secretary for the state of Karnataka Youth Congress in the Indian Youth Congress elections which were held on in January.

He was the only winning candidate from Dakshina Kannada and other nearby districts by securing 3,553 votes.

Merrill visited Mangaluru Bishop Dr Peter Paul Saldanha and sought his blessings.

Meril is active in the Congress party since his college days. He was the office bearer of district Youth Congress earlier.
