Bengaluru: Yediyurappa felicitates Dr Kambar on winning Padmabhushan award

Bengaluru, Feb 8: Noted Kannada writer and Jnanapith recipient Dr Chandrashekar Kambar was felicitated by chief minister B S Yediyurappa on his being selected for the Padmabhushan award by the Government of India.

The chief minister offered a bouquet of flowers and shawl to Dr Kambar.

Former chief minister and state industry minister Jagadish Shettar were present.



MSIL Chairman Hartalu Halappa presented a cheque for Rs 1 crore as a contribution from the state-owned undertaking towards the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund to the chief minister.

The chief minister released the MSIL calendar on the occasion.

State Planning Commission deputy chairman B J Puttaswamy, industries minister Jagadish Shettar, MSIL managing director H P Prakash and Dr Chandrashekar Kambar were present during the function held in the chief minister’s office.
