Puttur, Feb 8: In an accident that occurred at Mottethadka on the outskirts of the city between Mahindra pickup and TVS Jupiter, the rider of two-wheeler died on the spot.
The deceased is identified as Prasad, son of Sindhu soft drinks owner Karunakar, a resident of Samethadka. The Jupiter scooter is completely mangled due to the impact of the accident. Meanwhile, the Mahindra pickup fell into a roadside drain.
A case in this connection has been registered in Puttur city police station.
In the past 36 hours, four two-wheeler riders have lost lives in the coastal districts. This has caused concern among the safety of two-wheeler riders in the twin districts.
