Bengaluru: CM inaugurates Maharshi Valmiki fair at Davangere

Bengaluru, Feb 9: Chief minister, B S Yediyurappa, who flew to Davangere by helicopter in the afternoon, inaugurated the Maharshi Valmiki fair on Tuesday afternoon.

The chief minister also laid the foundation stone for the construction of a Tribal Research Centre and library building.

Rajanahalli Sri Maharashi Valmiki math chief, Jagadguru Valmiki Prasannananda Mahaswamy, ministers B A Basavaraj, Anand Singh, Ramesh Jarakiholi, B Sriramulu and BJP MPs G M Siddeshwar and Devendrappa, MLAs M P Renukacharya, Shamanur Shivashankarappa, Raju Gowda and Satish Jarakiholi were among the dignitaries who participated in the function.
