Udupi, Feb 11: A mango tree in front of Manipal Drug House near Tiger Circle caught fire due to short circuit on Thursday afternoon. Fortunately, there were no casualties that took place in the incident. The quick response from the emergency services averted a major disaster from taking place.

Near the tree that caught fire, there is a medical shop, saloon and a commercial complex. Once the fire was doused, it was found that the tree was not damaged a lot either.
