Karkala: My Fight against Corruption will Continue –Santosh Hegde

Daijiworld Media Network – Karkala (VA)

Karkala, Jun 27: “I will not form or join any kind of organization and no question of joining politics again but will continue to fight against corruption”, said Lokayukta Justice N Santhosh Hegde.

Speaking to reporters here, Hegde who had arrived to his home town Nitte to take part in a programme said that he has submitted his resignation well in advance – before two months so that the government can appoint an able person as a Lokayukta.

Pointing out the flaws of the Yeddyurappa Government with which he decided to resign from his post, Hegde said that he had placed three demands before the government – to hike the police pay by 30 percent, to suspend the corrupt officials for two to three days and not to retain them in the same position later and the last one was to provide more police personnel’s to Lokayukta.

Though the CM had agreed to fulfill all the demands he did not keep up his words. He increased the police pay only by 15 percent and rest of the two demands were not fulfilled at all, alleged Hegde.

He also said that he was upset by the rumours that he resigned with the intention to defame the government.

    Dear Hegde,
I think you have made the right move by resigning and making the government feel black in its face before the people of karnataka. There was no other way to fight these corroupt people than to resign.

Greatest fear is that Yeddi- Reddy will install a puppet so that they can have peaceful sleep as they continue to plunder the State. Do you think that they would wish to see some one who would question their authority? Never.

It is difficult for me to u'stand how will Santhosh Hedge (SH) fight corruption outside the ambit of his post when during his tenure as Chief Of Lokayukta he could not fight it. If SH has to do it then he has to do it through Media. Using the media extensively will help in crushing the corrupted Babus and Netas completely. He should also use the Legal cell of the Bangalore High Court. We fought one war to gain freedom now we have to fight another war to be free from corruption.

Dear Mr. Hegde, please check with your brother for the cost of a medical or engineering seat at his college and how much is the payment by D/D and by cash?
All the ill gotten money comes to these proffessional colleges by cash. The root of corruption is the owners of these private educational institutes.

Well judgement Mr. Hegde. You could have been in the same post for some more time and would have had a chance of letting the corrupted officers down. Why Politicians don't like straight forward persons like you? Can any politician come forward and speak up?
