Udupi: Three-day drama festival set in motion

Udupi, Feb 13: To promote arts, a three-day drama festival of Nirantar organization was set in motion by the Udupi diocese chancellor and St Francis Xavier church chief priest Fr Stany Lobo by ringing the bell at ICYM Udyavar golden jubilee auditorium.

Fr Stany Lobo said, "When some incidents go the wrong way, the acting of artistes help society reaches the right path."

Well-known author, Kishore Gonsalves conveyed his wishes. Entrepreneur Eric D’Souza Perampalli, Udyavar St Francis Xavier church assistant parish priest Fr Rolvin Aranha, Godfrey D’Souza and Ronald D’Souza were present.



Judith Pereira of Nirantar Udyavar who was elected in the recent gram panchayat elections was felicitated. Nirantar Udyavar president Steven Colaco welcomed the gathering. Director Roshan D’Souza thanked everyone. Secretary Oliveera Mathais compered the programme.

Mangaluru Asthitva team’s Ek Poinari and Geeth and Shankerapura Kalaradhan team’s Ligory Master’s dramas will be performed in the three-day-long event.
