Mangaluru: K Ullas Kamath Centre for family managed business launched at NITTE

Mangaluru, Feb 15: NITTE Justice KS Hegde Institute of Management launched K Ullas Kamath Centre for family managed business, here at Hotel Ocean Pearl on Monday February 15.

“The family managed business programme was launched under the stewardship of K Ullas Kamath who has spent more than 30 years building one of the highly professionalized family FMCG businesses in the industry today as the joint managing director of Jyothy Laboratories Mumbai, to catalyse the continued prosperity of family run, micro, small and medium enterprises in India.

“With this aim, the K Ullas Kamath Centre for family managed business will work with micro, small and medium size family businesses and provide them with the necessary toolkit to grow in stature in the years to come. The programme will begin with its first cohort in June this year. There will be 2-4 cohorts every year. The programme will be exclusive and cohorts will be well balanced to ensure maximum learning for its participants. A four-day intensive one-of-a-kind residential programme will be conducted on campus at NITTE and will feature prominent guest speakers and seasoned practitioners from the industry.

Addressing media, programme chair Ullas Kamath said, “During this programme, we will discuss every aspect required for the business. We will invite successful entrepreneurs as well as failed entrepreneurs so that to know where they have been successful and failed respectively. We will bring in speakers from overseas countries that is from Middle East and North Africa.”

Pro vice-chancellor NITTE Vishal Hegde said, “It is a pleasure to be associated with Ullas Kamath in this programme and fill in the gap between the industries and institutes. Our institute will take up the opportunity in taking up this programme. It will benefit the institute as well as lot of practitioners will come for this programme.”
