Indeed sad news. Mangalore has lost a committed social worker, environmentalist who had taken active part in the civic affairs of the country and particularly, Dakshina Kannada. During the dengue and malaria outbreaks, Mr. Suresh Shetty had taken strenuous efforts to strengthen preventive measures; he had addressed and guided our students on several occasions on environmental issues. We remain ever grateful to him for his contributions to social work and the training imparted to social work students in Manglauru. Our heart-felt condolences to the family. May the Lord grant the family strength and grace to bear this loss. Principal, Management, Staff and Students School of Social Work, Roshni Nilaya
