Udupi: Four end lives in different parts of district

Udupi, Mar 15: Four persons ended their lives under the jurisdictions of different police stations in the district. Two men and two women lost their lives in these cases.

On March 13. Shekhar Shetty (65) from Selanje near Hebri hanged himself from the roof beams at his residence. He was a tailor by profession and had been addicted to liquor and was suffering from piles in the recent past. As per a complaint filed in Hebri police station it was mentioned as the deceased ended life due to depression.

A coolie by profession, Saneev Poojary (60), jumped into a well and ended his life on March 13. His body was found floating in the well belonging to Vishwanath Shetty. It is said that he was a liquor addict that he had ended life on account of some frustrations.

Jayasheela Shedthi (38) from Korgi village in Kundapur taluk jumped into the well inside the family farm. She was grappling with psychiatric problems for the last six years and was beingt treated in a private hospital at Kundapur. A report filed in the police station said that he got frustrated with life on account of depression.

Ratna (38), daughter of Kodapady Narayana Poojary near Gujjady near Gangolli jumped into a well in her courtyard because of grief over her husband's demise recently. She jumped into a well located in his courtyard. It is said that she was devastated with grief after her husband died six months back. She had also been treated for this problem.
