Raichur, Apr 14: As the date for the Maski bypoll draws nearer, people are busy mustering support for their favourite parties. The police here have arrested two persons foun distributing money to the voters, and a woman who was found accepting cash.
A video clip of cash being distributed in exchange for votes had become viral on the social websites. The incident had happened at Harvapur. The officials of the election commission and the police, based on the complaint, arrested a person identified as Amit at Holenarasipur.
At Durga Camp, Chiottibabu, said to be a BJP activist, was held when distributing money to voters.
A case has been registered against Hemanth for distributing monkey. A woman, Tayamma, has been arrested for accepting money.
