Belagavi: 'High decibel electioneering because of CM's fear of defeat' – Satish Jarkiholi

Daijiworld Media Network - Belagavi (SP)

Belagavi, Apr 15: State Congress working president and party candidate for Belagavi Lok Sabha bypoll, Satish Jarkiholi, accused chief minister, B S Yediyurappa, of getting engaged with intensive campaigning in Belagavi Lok Sabha constituency as the fear of defeat looms large. He was speaking to media persons on Wednesday April 14 at Sambra village.

He said that on Thursday, which is the last day for public campaigning, no Congress leader would be visiting the constituency. He stated that he cannot predict what effect the candidature of Maharashtra Ekikarana Samiti who is in the fray will have on the final result "It is but natural that BJP MLA, Balachandra Jarkiholi, has been working for his party in Arabhavi constituency. Whatever he does there, we have our assured chunk of vote bank there and these votes will come to us," he explained.

Reacting to the comment of Jagadish Shettar that Jarkiholi has not spoken in the assembly, he said that Shettar speaks in the assembly but rarely visits offices and he does not have any idea about the problems of common people. He said Shettar feels that speaking is a big achievement. Jarkiholi said he is happy that he concentrates more on work rather than giving speeches like Shettar.
