Puttur: Aged pensioner alleges having been duped by another woman

Puttur, Apr 15: A complaint has been filed in the police station here, about an old pensioner having been duped by another woman by faking herself as the actual pensioner.

Asiamma alias Asiyamma (80), wife of the late Monu Beary from Sampyamoole in Kuriya village in the taluk has filed this complaint. She has claimed that for the last 20 years, the pension amount that is genuinely due to her was being withdrawn by another woman of the same name with the connivance of the bank manager. She also has accused the brother of the accused woman of having a hand in this cheating.

The police who have registered a case, are probing.
