Mangaluru, Apr 17: An auto-rickshaw with all modern facilities is attracting everyone's attention in the city. Shekhar Acharya, who works as a bus driver of Kasturba Medical College, is very fond of auto-rickshaws. That is why he has converted his auto-rickshaw in the mode of an ultra-modern car.

Acharya, who bought a LPG operated auto-rickshaw of Bajaj company got it re-designed at a garage in Uppala at a cost of Rs one and half lac. Air-cooler is installed in the auto-rickshaw in order to prevent the heat of summer.

The auto-rickshaw also has a TV. Further, reverse camera is installed. Door is provided on all the four sides for safety along with center locking system.

Shekhar Acharya runs the auto during his spare time. He is an ardent fan of Yakshagana Bhagavath Patla Sathish Shetty and renowned heart specialist Dr Padmanabha Kamath. So he has put the photo of both on his auto-rickshaw.
