Mangaluru, Apr 19: Corporator Shashidhar Hegde said, “The government is showing a carless attitude towards students and their families.”

Addressing media on Monday April 19, he said, “The central government has cancelled CBSE’s class 10 board exams and postponed class 12 exams, JEE, NEET. I urge the government to postpone SSLC exams, first PUC and second PUC exams or it has to be held online. Even VTU exams needs to postponed. Classes should be held offline.”

“Are marks more important than health? Is it possible to carry negative report for every exam? Students travel in public transport to write exams. Why are other programmes banned by the government while exams have to be conducted? Do students’ lives not matter?” he questioned.
