Mysuru: MP V Srinivas Prasad's personal assistant dies

Mysuru, Apr 21: Personal assistant of MP V Srinivas Prasad, B S Shankaran (76) lost his life on Tuesday April 20 on account of coronavirus infection.

Shankaran was a native of Basavapattana in K R Nagar taluk. He was currently residing at Navilu Rasthe, Kuvempunagar here. Beginning in 1986, he had worked as personal assistant for V Srinivas Prasad for 35 long years. Shankaran was known for his cool nature and honesty. He was very much liked by the MP and the people of his constituency.

Before his stint as the personal assistant of the MP, Shanakaran had worked in the Bengaluru office of archaeology department and the tobacco board at Periyapatna for two years. He was infected with COVID19 ten days back and was admitted into Banavi Hospital Mysuru. He did not respond to treatments.

Shankaran is survived by wife, three daughters and thousands of fans and well-wishers.
