Mangaluru: Workshop on 'First Aid' conducted for staff at SCS Preshools

Mangaluru, Apr 21: A workshop on 'First Aid' was organised for the staff of SCS Preschools, here, at the KAMC Hospital, here.

Dr Asha K (professor of KAMC) conducted the session along with her team consisting of Shanthi D'Almeida (nursing superintendent), Pooja (ANM) and Dr Abhijit (PG scholar).

The staff of SCS Preschool were taught how to render First Aid in the event of various casualties like: burns, falls, snake bite, cardiac arrest, bleeding, foreign bodies in the nose, ear etc.

They were thoroughly briefed with symptoms and care required during these casualties, and also the necessary precautions to be taken to avoid such fatalities. A briefing was also given on the precautions to be taken against the coronavirus.

The staff found this session very informative and beneficial since First Aid is of foremost importance to them as they are dealing with young children.
