Mangalore: Jain PU College Wins Taluk-level Volleyball Tourney

Mangalore, Aug 24: A taluk-level volleyball tournament for pre-university colleges was organized at Pompeii Pre-University College, Aikala here on Monday August 23.

Manjunath Mallya, branch manager of Syndicate Bank, Kinnigoli, inaugurated the tournament.

Twenty men’s teams and nine women’s teams participated in the tournament.

Jain Pre-University College, Moodbidri, bagged the first prize and Sri Durgaparameshwari Pre-University College was the runner-up in the women’s category.

Alva's Pre-University College, Moodbidri, bagged the first place and St Joseph's Pre-University College, Bajpe, was the runner-up in the men’s category.

Fr Paul Pinto, correspondent, Pompeii Education Institutions, and principal Fr Jerome D' Souza were present on the occasion.
