Heavy rainfall wreaks havoc in Bantwal

Bantwal, Jun 16: Hillock has caved in, house, cowsheds have been destroyed and trees were uprooted due to the heavy rainfall that has been pounding here for several days.

The house of Ibrahim including the roof at Tenkakaje village, the house belonging to Sujatha, Shambhoor village, Putta Naika at Nadusara village and the areca nut plantations of Keshava Bhat are damaged.

A huge tree at Kadosi Valya got uprooted and fell across the road. A report about the estimated cost of destruction has been submitted to the tahsildar by the concerned officials.
