Kundapur: Ulloor-74 gram panchayat shifts to new building

Kundapur, Jun 16: For the last six years, the Ulloor-74 gram panchayat was functioning out of the government higher primary school. The offices were finally shifted to the newly constructed building near Ulloor, Banashankari temple on Wednesday.

Religious rituals were held on Tuesday night. The shifting took place without any celebrations. Contractor Sanketh Shetty Sampigedi who constructed the building was felicitated on behalf of the panchayat.

Kundapur taluk panchayat executive officer Keshava Shettigar, Ulloor-74 GP president, Prasad Shetty, vice president, Rathna Mogaveera, members, Rajesh Hebbar, U Sudhakar Shetty, Susheela, Chandu, panchayat development officer, Sridhar Kamath, Banashankari temple managing trustee, S Sanjeeva Shetty Sampigedi, Ulloor Brahmashree Baidarkala Garodi Mukkali, Sudhakar Shetty Kalli, Ulloor-Machattu agricultural service cooperative society president, Rathnakar Shetty Madhurabalu, Ulloor-74 milk producers cooperative society association president, Varanapalu Diwaker Shetty, MESCOM JE, Praveen Acharya, Siddapur GP president, Shekar Kulal, Shankarnarayana GP president, Latha D S, vice president, Ravi Kulal, village accountant, Kiran, Chandrashekar Murthy and others were present.

Ulloor-74 was carved from Siddapur gram panchayat in 2015. The new building has been constructed at a cost of Rs 40 lac on the land donated by a local Geethamma, daughter of Annappa Rao. A flag post was constructed free of cost in front of the new building by gram panchayat member U Sudhakar Shetty.
