Mangaluru, Jun 22: Demanding jobs for the youth from Tulunadu in mega companies including Mangalore Refinery and Petrochemicals Ltd (MRPL), Dakshina Kannada district youth JD(S) will be holding a protest opposite the main gate of MRPL at Katipalla at 11 am on June 23.
The party said that the young people from here are facing injustice in the appointments in the district. It plans to attract the attention of the government, local MLAs and MPs to this issue and pressurise them to ensure that young people from here who have good education get jobs in these companies, through their protest.
MP and state JD(s) youth general secretary Prajwal Revanna, MLCs Bojegowda and B M Farooq, other senior leaders and office bearers will take part in the protest, said Dakshina Kannada district youth JD(S) president Akshith Suvarna, in a release.
