Bengaluru, Jun 22: Karnataka state BJP in-charge, Arun Singh, is learnt to have submitted a report to the central leadership of the party, saying that chief minister, B S Yediyurappa, has the backing of most of the legislators and that replacing him does not augur well for the party, taking into account its future prospects. With this, those who had raised the flag of rebellion, will most likely face stringent disciplinary action.

Arun Singh, who met national president of the BJP, J P Nadda, at Delhi on Sunday, provided him an insight into what is brewing in Karnataka BJP. He said that barring a handful, no one is against Yediyurappa's leadership. It is said that based on his judgement of the situation, he said that no one is opposed to the current leadership. It is said that he also brought to the notice of Nadda that Basanagouda Patil Yatnal, Vijayapura MLA, who has been firing salvos at the chief minister, did not meet him.

Arun Singh has mentioned about the fact that political situation in Karnataka has been facing uncertainties and confusion right from the day the BJP formed government there. He has opined that a free and fair environment is needed to run the administration. Because of these things, it has not been possible for the government to create a good image for itself. Arun reportedly feels that the confusions and teething troubles should have been addressed at the beginning itself.

Minister C P Yogeshwar, said that he does not know what the party will do about the recent developments in the party. He said he has given air to his feelings before the state in-charge of the BJP and will wait for some days for the result. MLA Arvind Bellad, said he had discussed certain issues with Arun Singh. He said he does not want to issue any statements about the state politics now.
